Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist as well as a teacher, understood and encouraged their daughter's love for acting and drama on a young stage. This support was more than enough to combat her desire to become the first primatologist. At the age of a young lady rising to the heights of fame was rapid and marked with the beginning of her successes. The beginning of her career came in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Though she was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to her acting profession, she has was also interested in modeling. She was the model in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". She also has a serious interest in photography and recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame and fame. It also features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid popularity following Amelie. Audrey Tautou's first big performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's main actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie poulain, earned her international stardom. Amelie won international acclai box office success and received acclaim at awards ceremonies all over the world. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in numerous films, such as British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
